It's Friday evening, we're trying to watch a movie to unwind from the week. We use her Macbook because my old Thinkpad is making annoying noises when playing movies. We use my Amazon account because I have a Prime subscription.
My Girlfriend sets her browser to delete all cookies whenever she closes it, so I'm logged out.
- So I open her macbook and log in with her password (she trusts me with her password).
- I open Firefox.
- I go to Amazon and go to the login page.
- I store my passwords in my password manager which I don't have installed on my Girlfriend's laptop. So I open vault.bitwarden.com.
- I enter my email address and password.
- Bitwarden requires a second factor, so I search the appartment for my phone.
- I find my phone, go back to the living room.
- I unlock my phone with my thumbprint.
- I open my authenticator app, also with my thumbprint.
- I enter the code from my phone on Amazon.
- Amazon sends me an email that someone logged into my account, making my phone ping.
- I navigate to the movie we want to watch and click on "rent".
- I have to confirm the payment, so I open my banking app.
- I have to enter a password because my banking app does not allow authentication with biometrics.
- I click to confirm the payment.
- I click on the button to play the movie.
- Amazon informs me that the browser must be outdated because it cannot play DRM-ed movies at high resolution, only low resolution.
- I check the browser's version, it is definitely the latest one.
- So I open Safari.
- I log in at Amazon with Safari, copying the password from the still-opened Bitwarden tab in Firefox.
- My phone dings because Amazon sent me an email, informing me that someone logged into my account.
- I copy the movie's url from Firefox to Safari.
- I click on play, the movie plays in high def.
- Harry meets Sally
